If anyone is debating on VIP airport service, we say go for it! He was wonderful and we were out of the airport and on the road in no time. Just be ready to walk... I mean RUN FAST. Oh, and the great news for the day - the airline didn't lose ANY of our luggage!
Our SDA appointment is Wednesday at 11:00 AM (that's 4 AM in Atlanta). Quite a few people mentioned getting up to pray at that time. I know it's early, but we would REALLY appreciate it as we are very nervous about the meeting! As is always the case in Ukraine, you never know what things will be like from one day to the next, and we just don't really know what to expect.

Thanks for checking in on us. We'll try to post more tomorrow as the day progresses.

Good luck! My husband and I have been following your blog and we are so excited for you! Will Pray during your SDA appointment!
Hey Zack and Jenn
We just got home from visiting Mimi and all she can talk about is her new grandson. Looks like your apartment is really nice. OOps, Ben just let the girls in and they're quite wild. Imagine that!!!!!!
Miss you very much and will be praying starting at 4:00 and all through the day.
Love you----Mom
Just remember that when your translator/facilitator and some beauracrat start yelling at each other that all is not lost...it is just the way things are there. I remember thinking,"Oh no, Sergey's ruining everything, they are getting so mad!" Then, they'd both start laughing. I finally found for my sanity it was best to stay in the car and read whenever I was not needed, much less stress. Jeri, mom to Alex from Sumy...adopted 11/30/00
I've been following you blog for a while and am so excited. You two sound so muuch like my husband and I when we adopted from Ukraine in Nov 2005. It is an awesome experience, one you will neverforget. Our son Ben is six and a half now and is the best thing that ever happened to us. Good luck
It's so good to hear from you - I'm glad the flights were on time, and your luggage made it to Kiev! Your apartment looks very nice, and it's in a great location.
I'll try to wake up at 4 a.m. for you - don't worry, everything will be all right!
We are praying for you!!!
May God's hand be evident at the SDA!
Yeah! So good to hear that you made it safely. i will pray for you that everything will go well for you at your SDA appt. I know it will!
I am so glad that you made it there safely. Yes, VIP was nice...not necessary for the most part but nice as you enter into a world of unknown. Don't worry about it on the way out though, you will be old pros by the time you leave. Glad you have internet at your place that helps pass the time. The folks at SDA are great. Julia (I think) is the interpreter and as nice as can be. With all the prayers going up for you, it will not be a problem. Just relax, the hard part was getting there! God Bless and look forward to more posts!
It looks like a nice place. I hope you have fun exploring and good luck with your appointment.
We are so happy to see you made and are praying hard today for your appointment with the SDA to go well. We can't wait to see all the wonderful things God has in store for you on this trip.
